Three Ways to Work With Best Coast Estate Law

In-Home
Estate Planning

Attorneys travel directly to your home, assisted living facility, memory care unit, skilled nursing facility, or another private location of your choosing throughout the Los Angeles area.

Online Estate
Planning Services

Our virtual process is just as thorough and personalized as an in-office engagement; the only difference is that meetings happen on your screen rather than in our conference room.

In-Office
Appointments

We welcome clients at our Burbank location at 2312 W. Olive Ave., Suite D, Burbank, CA 91506, and at our Palm Springs location at 750 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Unit 218, Palm Springs, CA 92262.

Who We Serve:
In-Home and Online Estate Planning for Every Situation

Our in-home estate planning and online attorney services are specifically designed to serve clients for whom a traditional office visit is not the right fit. This includes:

Homebound Seniors & Elderly Clients

Many of our clients are seniors who have difficulty driving, managing mobility challenges, or leaving home due to health or safety concerns. Our in-home estate planning attorney comes directly to you, at your home, your retirement community, or your care facility, to complete your estate plan in a comfortable, familiar setting with no travel required.

Clients in Assisted Living, Memory Care & Skilled Nursing Facilities

We regularly work with clients residing in assisted living facilities, memory care communities, and skilled nursing facilities throughout Los Angeles County. We coordinate with facility staff as needed and ensure that all estate planning documents are properly executed and notarized on-site.

Individuals With Disabilities or Serious Illness

For clients managing a disability, a serious illness, or a health crisis that makes travel difficult or inadvisable, in-home estate planning eliminates one of the most significant barriers to getting a plan in place. We are experienced in working sensitively and efficiently in these situations, including when timelines are urgent.

Busy Professionals & Young Families

You do not need a health concern to benefit from in-home or online estate planning. Many of our clients simply find that juggling work, children, and other responsibilities makes a traditional office visit impractical. We can complete your entire estate plan virtually.

California Clients Outside the Los Angeles Area

Through our online estate planning services, Best Coast Estate Law serves clients throughout the entire state of California. If you are located outside of Los Angeles, in the Bay Area, Sacramento, San Diego, or anywhere else in the state, we can complete your full estate plan remotely via phone and Zoom, with documents delivered by FedEx.

What to Expect:
The In-Home & Online Estate Planning Process

A typical estate planning engagement with Best Coast Estate Law takes four to eight weeks and follows the same structured process whether you are meeting in-home, online, or in our office.
STEP 1 →

Free Phone Consultation

We begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation to understand your family situation, your assets, and your goals.

We explain your options, recommend the right documents for your needs, and answer any initial questions. There is no obligation.

STEP 2 →

Estate Planning Questionnaire & Fee Agreement

You complete our comprehensive estate planning questionnaire at your own pace and sign the fee agreement.

The questionnaire gathers the information our attorneys need to begin drafting your plan, beneficiaries, assets, successor trustees, guardian nominations, and any specific wishes or instructions.

STEP 3 →

Personal Planning Meeting With Brittany

After we receive your completed questionnaire, you meet with Brittany for a personalized planning session.

Together, you review your responses, discuss your goals in detail, ask any remaining questions, and ensure every aspect of your estate plan reflects exactly what you want before drafting begins.

This meeting happens at your home, facility, or via Zoom.

STEP 4 →

Attorney-Drafted Documents

Our attorneys draft your complete estate plan based on your questionnaire and planning meeting.

Depending on your package, this includes your revocable living trust, pour-over will, durable power of attorney, advance healthcare directive, and quitclaim deed.

Every document is custom-drafted to your specific situation, prepared for your circumstances.

STEP 5 →

Review & Revisions

We send you a draft of your complete estate plan for review.

For in-home and online clients, we schedule a follow-up meeting by phone or Zoom to walk through every document in plain language, answer all questions, and incorporate any changes until you are completely satisfied.

STEP 6 →

Signing Appointment

The final step is your signing appointment, where all documents are formally executed and notarized.

For in-home clients, we come to you. For online clients, we send your finalized documents via FedEx with detailed, easy-to-follow instructions for signing and notarization in your area.

Once complete, you return your original signed documents to us.

STEP 7 →

Your Completed Estate Plan

You receive your original signed documents organized in a professional binder, along with a flash drive containing PDFs of every document and detailed instructions for funding your trust, including how to transfer your real estate, bank accounts, and other assets into your trust’s name.

STEP 8

Ongoing Updates & Reviews

Your estate plan should evolve as your life does. Marriage, divorce, the birth of a child, the death of a beneficiary, the purchase or sale of real estate, or a significant change in your assets are all reasons to revisit your plan.

We recommend reviewing your estate plan every three to five years or after any major life event.

Whether you need a simple amendment or a complete trust restatement, Best Coast Estate Law is here to keep your plan current, in-home, online, or in our office.

Services Available In-Home and Online

Our in-home estate planning attorneys can complete your entire estate plan through in-home or online appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our team specializes in simplifying the in-home estate planning process so you and your loved ones can feel certain about every decision. Start with this overview, and then book a consultation when you’re ready to talk more.

In-Home Estate Planning

In-home estate planning is a service in which a licensed estate planning attorney travels directly to your home, care facility, or another private location to complete your estate plan.

Rather than requiring you to visit a law office, an in-home estate planning attorney handles the entire process on-site, including the initial consultation, the planning meeting, document review, and the signing and notarization of your final documents.

Best Coast Estate Law offers in-home estate planning services throughout the Los Angeles area for clients within ten miles of our Burbank or Palm Springs offices.

In-home estate planning is particularly valuable for elderly clients who find travel difficult, individuals with disabilities or serious illnesses that make leaving home challenging, clients in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities, and anyone who simply prefers the comfort and privacy of their own home for important legal conversations.

It is also a practical option for busy professionals and families who struggle to fit office appointments into their schedules. Whatever the reason, we are happy to come to you.

Not at all. The documents prepared through our in-home estate planning service are identical in quality, thoroughness, and legal validity to those prepared through in-office appointments.

The same attorney oversight, the same custom drafting process, and the same execution and notarization requirements apply regardless of where we meet.

In-home legal services are available to clients within ten miles of our Burbank office at 2312 W. Olive Ave., Suite D, and our Palm Springs office at 750 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Unit 218.

Appointments are scheduled at the attorney’s discretion based on availability. If you are located outside this range, our online estate planning services via Zoom are available to clients throughout all of California.

Please call us at (626) 390-5953 to discuss your specific location.

Yes. Our attorneys coordinate notarization as part of your in-home signing appointment so your documents are fully executed and legally valid at the time of signing. You do not need to arrange your own notary or make a separate trip. We handle all execution and notarization requirements on-site.

Online Estate Planning Services

Online estate planning services allow you to work with a licensed California estate planning attorney entirely remotely,  by phone, email, and Zoom video meetings, to create a complete, legally valid estate plan without visiting a law office.

Best Coast Estate Law offers full online estate planning services to clients throughout California. Your consultations, planning meetings, and document reviews happen via phone or Zoom. Your finalized documents are delivered via FedEx with clear signing and notarization instructions so you can execute them locally.

Yes. The quality of your estate plan does not depend on where your meetings take place; it depends on the attorney drafting it.

At Best Coast Estate Law, our online estate planning clients receive the same custom-drafted documents, the same thorough attorney review process, and the same personalized guidance as our in-office and in-home clients. The only difference is the medium through which we communicate.

Once your documents are finalized and approved, we send them to you via FedEx with detailed, easy-to-follow instructions for signing and notarization. You arrange notarization locally, at a bank, UPS store, or other notary service, and return your original signed documents to us. We provide guidance throughout this process and are available to answer any questions.

Remote online notarization (RON) may also be available depending on the document type and current California law.

Yes. Through our online estate planning services, Best Coast Estate Law can complete your entire estate plan remotely, including a revocable living trust, pour-over will, durable power of attorney, advance healthcare directive, and quitclaim deed for California real estate.
