I tell clients all the time that estate planning is more than how much your life insurance policy is worth and your house deed; it’s about values, memories, and how you want to be remembered.

So why did I even start my own law firm in the first place?

I created Best Coast Estate Law, in part, so I could bring clarity, compassion, and real-life solutions to families throughout California. I grew up believing that a family legacy happens when you preserve not only assets, but stories, traditions, and memories. After law school, launching my own law firm allowed me the flexibility to provide for my own family, but also help clients plan wisely, too. And most importantly, to keep the entire legal experience friendly and approachable – which it often isn’t.

One of the things I love most about estate planning is that it gives you the chance to make decisions ahead of time so you can spare your loved ones confusion and conflict down the line.

Here’s how I approach estate planning with clients:

  • I ask hard questions. Who in your family truly wants and values a specific item? Who might see it as a burden?
  • I lead open conversations. A little communication up front can prevent disputes later.
  • I translate clients’ wishes into clear, enforceable estate documents (wills, trusts, memoranda). No vague statements — specificity is key.
  • I put convenience and clarity first. My team offers in-home or virtual services, so you don’t have to rearrange your whole life just to sign documents.

If you’ve ever wondered who is going to be the beneficiary of your life, you’re not alone. My legal team and I help you plan strategically, intentionally, communicate your wishes into actionable steps after you’re gone.

If you’re ready to map out what happens to every piece of your legacy, I’d be honored to help. Call us today for a free consultation.
